TUCSON - A 44-year-old woman was critically burned after Tucson police say a man doused her with a flammable liquid and set her on fire in her midtown house.
KMSB-TV says the woman ran to a neighbor's house to seek help Monday morning. It was unclear if the victim knew the suspect, who fled.
Police spokesman Sgt. Fabian Pacheo told the Arizona Daily Star that the woman, whose neighbors put her in the shower to extinguish the fire, was airlifted to Phoenix to be treated for burns to her face, arms and chest.
