A Labor Day weekend Holiday DUI Task Force, which began August 17 has made 335 arrests statewide, officials said Sunday.
The 360 law enforcement officers participating in the task force have arrested 139 suspected extreme drunken drivers and 42 minors.
The law states that anyone with a blood alcohol content of .15 or above is extremely drunk. A blood alcohol content of at least .08 is considered drunk.
Officials said the average blood alcohol content of all drivers arrested was .15. Authorities also cited 42 people for not wearing seatbelts, two people for not putting their children in car seats, 86 minors for drinking alcohol, 16 people for driving under the influence of drugs and 1,493 others for various traffic violations.
The task force will end Sept. 3.
