A male motorcyclist was killed Saturday morning in a collision with a car driven by a 70-year-old woman at Double Tree Ranch and Scottsdale roads, Scottsdale police said in a news release.
The motorcycle rider was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn hospital, police said.
Both vehicles were headed north on Scottsdale Road at 7:50 a.m. when the woman’s Nissan Altima collided with the motorcycle. The rider was thrown.
Police said the woman, of Phoenix, was unhurt. Investigators did not immediately release the name of the motorcyclist.
Scottsdale Road was closed Saturday morning while police investigated.
