Traffic restrictions are planned for southbound Loop 101 between Southern Avenue in Mesa and Loop 202 in Chandler this weekend.
Between 11 p.m. Friday and 11 p.m. Sunday, Arizona Department of Transportation crews plan to reduce southbound Loop 101 to one lane. During that time, the ramp connecting westbound Highway 60 to southbound Loop 101 will be closed.
Also, between 4 a.m. Saturday and 11 p.m. Sunday, northbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to two lanes from Chandler Boulevard south to Loop 202.
Workers will be applying rubberized asphalt to the newly constructed HOV lanes.
