A two-year Chandler Police Department officer sustained minor injuries in a three-car crash just after 8 a.m. Sunday morning at the intersection of Dobson and Ray roads.

Detective David Ramer said officer Carlos Ledesma was en route to a call regarding a domestic situation and traveling northbound on Dobson on a green light when a car driven by Nicholas Kidd, 18, ran the red light while driving eastbound on Ray, hitting the front panel on the side of his patrol car. The patrol car then spun into a third vehicle, causing minor damage to that car.

Both Ledesma and Kidd were treated for "bumps and bruises" at a hospital and were then released, Ramer said. Kidd had not been cited as of noon Sunday, but the investigation is ongoing, Ramer said.
