Mexico's drug war heats up and gun battle between rival drug and migrant trafficking gangs near the U.S. border Thursday left 21 people dead and at least six others wounded.
More than 23,000 people have been killed by drug violence since late 2006, when President Felipe Calderon began deploying thousands of troops and federal police to spots in Mexico were drug gangs often fight for control of trafficking routes.
An all-out offensive on cartels . . . Yet, Mexico still says that Arizona's new illegal-immigration law would hinder trade and tourism, and strain the countries' work on combating drug trafficking and related violence.

" Very few residents dare to drive on one of the roads out of this watering-hole for migrants" (migrants meaning ILLEGAL ALIENS TO BE).
"hotbed of drug-fueled violence on Arizona's doorstep"
Gee, tell me it isn't so! President Obama told me that the border is "more secure than 10 years ago". Make me wonder how secure is secure in his mind....
