The world's largest jade Buddha will be on display for a week at the Mesa Amphitheatre, beginning Saturday.

The Buddha is eight feet tall, weighs 4.5 tons and is valued at $5 million. It's part of the Jade Buddha for Universal Peace Tour, which starts at 10 a.m. Saturday with the release of 200 doves and a candlelight vigil that evening.

Throughout the week, a festival will include Vietnamese décor, live music, traditional costumes, vegetarian food and souvenirs.

The amphitheatre is at 201 N. Center St. For more information, visit www.mesaamp.com.
