Chandler police are investigating the death of a 50-year-old man who was found shot inside his pickup truck outside a market on Monday morning.
The man, who police identified as Wendell H. Hunter, was found about 10:15 a.m. by an employee of the Mama Mia Market, 731 S. Arizona Ave., according to Chandler police Detective David Ramer. He had been shot at least once.
Ramer said that Hunter made a purchase inside the store and evidently returned to his vehicle before he was shot. A shotgun was recovered from the scene. The death is suspicious, Ramer said, but suicide also has not been ruled out.
If the death is ruled as a homicide, it would be Chandler's first homicide of the year. Last year, the city had four homicides, Ramer said.

We will know more after the autopsy. Until then, making such comments is uncalled for. This man was a father and husband. There has been enough tragedy in his children's lives. Don't add to the pain by being a jerk. Yes, Arizona is full of drug problems, but unless you knew the victim keep your opinion to yourself Madblogger.
