The state is gearing up to hold simultaneous job fairs for military veterans at 11 locations across Arizona this week, including one in Gilbert.
The Department of Economic Security says it's partnering with state, county and local agencies and community groups to hold the "hire our heroes" events on Wednesday.
The Gilbert veteran job fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sun Valley Community Church, 456 E. Ray Road.
Sites where job fairs for veterans will be held include Casa Grande, Flagstaff, Kingman, Nogales, Parker, Phoenix, Prescott, Sierra Vista, Tucson and Yuma.
