Gilbert is working with local businesses in an attempt to better emphasize tourist opportunities in the south East Valley town.
Showcasing such operations as Big League Dreams, Polar Ice, Higley Center for the Performing Arts, the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch, and Cosmo Dog Park, the town has developed a new website to promote Gilbert’s “unique and inviting sports, nature and cultural amenities,” according to a press release.
The website — www.visitgilbert.net — features such headings as shopping and dining, year-round outdoors, festivals and activities and attractions. Also, a new visitor’s center has opened at 1800 S. SanTan Village Parkway through a partnership with DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix-Gilbert.
