Pizza-and-play chain Peter Piper is moving its headquarters to north Phoenix. The popular eatery brand’s offices are currently in Kierland, a northeast Phoenix office-retail-dining complex with a Scottsdale mailing address.
Peter Piper announced that it is moving in August to bigger digs at the North Loop 101 Business Center at Seventh Avenue and Loop 101.
The company plans to combine more than 5,000 square feet of warehouse space for storing its cache of games and prizes with the executive offices, said Ashley Brooks of CB Richard Ellis, which brokered the deal. Peter Piper signed a $4.2 million, 10-year lease for a combined 24,539 square feet of space, Brooks said.
The new location is bigger, cheaper and more convenient for the company’s far-flung employee base than Kierland, said Steve Dunsire, vice president of development for the pizza chain.
Peter Piper currently has about 50 employees crammed into its 14,000-square-foot Kierland headquarters and a 4,500-square-foot Scottsdale Airpark games’ storage and repair center, he said.
“We are strapped for space, and we anticipate a high growth rate,” Dunsire said.
The North Loop 101 office complex has already attracted regional headquarters of several companies, including Nationwide, L-3 Communications and Dex Media, Brooks said.
“You get the benefit of Deer Valley pricing, but you are still only a few minutes from Scottsdale on the Loop 101,” he said.
