In business at the same location since 1938, Darner Chrysler Motors offers its customers cars, trucks, and SUVs along with honesty, integrity, and a good value.

They say the Valley of the Sun doesn’t have a lot of history like towns back in the Midwest, such as Chicago, Detroit, or Minneapolis. That we don’t have buildings and businesses dating back 60, 70 years or more. Well, On The Road has found one business that knocks that statistic out of the ballpark.

Darner Chrysler Motors has been in business at the same location in Mesa since 1938. The Darner family has owned and operated their Chrysler dealership on the corner of West Main and Extension (837 W. Main St.) for over 65 years. That’s a long-term business history any town would be proud to brag about. The good folks at Darner Chrysler would like you to know about their dealership and why they feel they’ve been so successful at the same location for such a long time.

Honesty, integrity, and a good value are what the folks at Darner believe and what has helped keep them in business for so many years. These values are what keep customer coming back to the same location for generations to shop for cars, trucks, and SUVs.

Darner Chrysler Motors has 3 cars on their showroom floor right now they especially invite you to come and see. The 2006 PT Cruiser has been a hot seller for Chrysler since its first debut a few years ago. Re-designed for 2006 the PT Cruiser has great gas mileage, a major contributing factor to car buyers in this day of $3.00 a gallon gasoline prices. It’s a 5 door retro model that is hard to categorize.

With plenty of leg and headroom, the PT Cruiser has gained a huge following as the hot car to drive. Its roominess and thrifty gas mileage makes it a good family car. And Darner Chrysler has this ‘hot car’ with the hard to find 4 cylinder! The 4 cylinder peps the PT Cruiser up to an astounding 150 horsepower.

The 2006 Chrysler 300 comes with a standard tire pressure monitoring system, 8-way power passenger seat adjustment, express up and down windows and can even be ordered with a DVD player that pops up from the center console and can be viewed by back seat occupants. The V* engine is a Hemi in the 300 C model. This car has a generous trunk, available all-wheel drive, and optional Boston acoustics sound system, just to name a few. The 300 even comes with an optional voice-based navigational system.

But if you’re looking for plain fun mixed in with versatility, come look at the ever-popular 2006 Jeep Wrangler. This compact SUV is available with a soft-top and plastic windows, or has a hard top with glass windows. The SE version comes with a 157 hp, 4 cylinder engine. The Golden Eagle Edition, not seen since the late 1980s, features a 30-inch tire package plus a unique interior and exterior trim. The Jeep- Wrangler continues to represent weekend fun while being a functional, small city-type SUV.

Darner Chrysler is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 9pm, Saturday 8:30 am to 6pm, and Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm. This is the type of dealership where you don’t have to schedule an oil change in advance. They want your business not just for this car purchase, but for future car purchases as well. That takes hard work and dedication on the part of the sales and technical staff and they know it.

Come visit Darner Chrysler and see why they’ve stayed in business since 1939. You can call for directions or more information at (480) 969-7311. The welcome mat is out and they’d love to have you come and visit. Or go online to www.darnermotors.com. The final count has yet to be tallied for the fundraiser for the VFW National Home at Coury Buick. But, the good folks there want to thank you for your contributions to this worthy cause.
