Sun Devil Auto wants to open an auto repair shop at the southwest corner of Higley and Ocotillo roads in Gilbert.
Denny’s may open a restaurant at the northwest corner of Greenfield and Pecos roads in Gilbert.
Hobby Lobby, a retailer of art, hobby and craft supplies, is planning to open a store at 1835 S. Greenfield Road in Mesa, just north of Baseline Road.
The Oklahoma company operates 395 stores in 32 states.
NEWEST AJ's TO OPEN IN SCOTTSDALE'S NORTH MARKETPLACE
The newest AJ’s, homegrown grocer Bashas’ upscale market, is scheduled to open Nov. 10 at 31311 N. Scottsdale Road.
That’s on the southeast corner of Lone Mountain and Scottsdale roads in the Scottsdale North Marketplace.
The new AJ’s space is smaller than other nearby supermarkets, but it includes a large cheese selection, bakery, bistro, cappuccino bar, wine cellar with tasting emporium, cigar humidor, floral boutique, farmers market, butcher’s corner, seafood grotto, sushi bar, and the brand’s signature outdoor barbecue and patio dining. Six shops and services have just announced plans to join AJ’s at the new shopping center.
For those who want to be pampered, Bella Day Spa, an upscale hair and nail salon and spa, has signed on.
So has Adam & Eve Medspa, which provides “aesthetic and cosmetic services supervised by a dedicated, licensed M.D., who is in attendance on a daily basis.”
The business lists its services as fractional laser skin resurfacing, photo-facials for youthful restoration, laser hair and tattoo removal, and all the popular injectables such as Restylane, Juvederm, Botox and Sculptra.
The Quintessential Bride and Formal Wear moved out of nearby DC Ranch Marketplace and will start up soon at the new center.
For the more mundane but necessary day-to-day needs, there will be a Martinizing Dry Cleaners.

And to provide a way for patrons to pay for all those pricey purchases, Scottsdale North Marketplace plans to feature a free-standing Chase Bank. All the new stores are expected to open within the next few months.
