State Mortgage in Scottsdale will host a seminar Thursday to educate real estate professionals on the new Housing and Economic Recovery Act.
Susan Marcel from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will offer information on the new bill, including its benefits to potential home buyers such as tax credits, lower interest rates for larger loans and down payment assistance.
The free seminar will be 9 a.m. to noon at the State Mortgage corporate offices, 9237 E. Via de Ventura. Registration is recommended, and can be done by calling (480) 648-2200.
