The Orchard in Chandler and Mesa has teamed up with recyclers to keep electronic waste out of landfills, while benefiting a local children’s charity.
The locally owned and operated computer store is now offering free electronics recycling in Chandler and Mesa.
The Orchard has partnered with Westech Recyclers and AbitibiBowater in order to give Valley residents two locations where outdated and obsolete electronics can be recycled.
In addition to providing residents with a safe and environmentally friendly way of disposing unwanted electronics, all reclaimed value from recycled goods will be donated to the Hope & A Future charity, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping foster children.
Items that can be dropped off at The Orchard include most electronics, paper products, printer supplies and batteries. In addition, consumers can drop off old laptop and cell phone batteries, empty printer toner and ink cartridges and newspapers and magazines.
