The East Valley Child Crisis Center, Girls on the Run and ASU’s KAET-TV (Channel 8) are among the groups that will receive a total of $406,600 in grants from the Fiesta Bowl.
The grants — culled from applications submitted last spring — provide funding for numerous projects, including after-school tutoring programs for students, reading and writing interventions for children and intramural sports activities for low-income families. In the last 12 months, Fiesta Bowl Charities has awarded more than $1.8 million in charitable grants to organizations across Arizona.
The application for the fall cycle will be available online in August. All applications are due Sept. 28. For more information or to see a full list of winners, go to www.fiestabowl.org/fiesta-bowl-charities.
