If you own an older vehicle with a wornout steering column, Flaming River has been there to provide you with a modern replacement with direct-fit wiring harness and the ability to easily mount an aftermarket steering wheel of your choice.

There are a couple of bright finishes available as well as bare-metal finish that can be painted whatever color you like. Depending on the steering wheel you choose (we like the new Waterfall model, pictured), you’ll probably need an extra-cost adapter. The new column pictured here is great for cars that originally came with column-mounted shifter and key, but have been converted to a floor shift and no longer need the column shift lever (although there is a column-shift version). The key bulkhead is molded into the column and not added on as is the case with designs from other companies, and is set at the 3 o'clock position so you won’t bang your knee as is more likely the case with some other designs that place the key in the 4 or 5 o'clock position.

Prices begin at about $550. Visit www.flamingriver.com to be steered in the right direction, or call 440-826-4488.
