A new Paradise Valley resort welcomed the first residents into its luxury-home community last month.
The InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa will have 34 houses ranging in size from 3,800 square feet to 4,700 square feet. One couple has moved in so far, but only seven of the villas remain to be sold, according to Rick Carpinelli, senior vice president of development for Crown Realty & Development Corp.
The units are priced starting in the low $2 millions, and residents will have full access to the resort and concierge services. All 34 of the houses are currently under construction with nearly 90 percent scheduled to be completed by the time the resort opens in the summer, Carpinelli said.
The resort will include 293 hotel rooms, a restaurant, a 31,000-square-foot spa and a wedding chapel.
The first group of 22 guest rooms is already completed, and finishing touches on the spa are set to begin next month.
In Chandler, Valley-based builder Fulton Homes recently announced three new neighborhoods.
The communities are located within the Fulton Ranch master-planned community near Ocotillo Road and Arizona Avenue.
At Aegean Cove, houses will range in size from roughly 3,500 square feet to 6,000 square feet with prices running from $763,900 to $931,900.
The Gallery will have houses ranging in size from about 2,340 square feet to 4,500 square feet with prices starting at $539,400 and going up to $690,400.
Finally, The Island is a gated community with 64 custom home sites.
A new custom-home subdivision is also being planned in Gilbert.
The six house sites, called Carroll Estates, will be located south and east of the southeast corner of Greenfield and Ryan roads.
The project was recently approved by the Town Council, city planner Val Chambers said. It’s a continuation of other development in the area, which consists largely of one-acre house sites, Chambers said.
In commercial real estate, a new medical office complex is in the works just south of Falcon Field Airport in Mesa. Developer Treehouse Joshua Office LLC is planning to construct two medical office buildings and two general office use buildings — totaling 19,200 square feet — on Greenfield Road south of McKellips Road. The project will help meet the needs of nearby Falcon Field, according to a Mesa Planning Division report.
