Here it is just a short time before Halloween and the unofficial beginning of the fall holiday season. It’s the time of year for “clearances” and a great time to be in the market for a new car! Saturn of Scottsdale, 15250 N. Hayden Road, is having just such a deal with a 0% financing sale on all remaining 2007 Saturn Ions!

The Saturn Ion for 2007 has edgy styling and has been aimed as Saturn’s entry-level car. Saturn, known for its high initial quality, is expected to redesign the Ion for the coming 2008 year, making now an exceptional time to buy a 2007 Ion. The Ion is a front-wheel drive car that comes as a 2 door coupe or 4 door sedan. The “quad coupe” is a 2 door but has 2 rearward doors that open similar to an extended cab on a truck. There are 2 trim levels available on the Ion and both levels of trim come standard with a 145 horsepower 2.2 4-cylinder engine. The Ion 3 has an enhanced performance package with variable valve timing that boosts the engine to a respectable 175 horsepower. This model also comes with anti-lock brakes, sports-tuned suspension, and traction control.

Then there is the Ion Red Line! This supercharged 2.0 liter 4 cylinder coupe bumps up the engine to an aggressive 205 hp. The Ion Red Line comes with 17 inch wheels and a close-ratio five speed manual transmission. Disc brakes and a track-tuned suspension package area also included in the 2007 Red Line.

There is plenty of cargo room in the Ion as the passenger seat can be made to fold flat with trunk space among the largest in this car segment. The interior on the level 2 Ion can be a bit sparse. The level 3 interior, however, has more upgrades such as cruise control and a CD/MP3 audio system.
