Chandler Regional Medical Center opened the south East Valley’s first ostomy clinic last month.
The ostomy clinic will provide care, education and support for individuals living with an ostomy. In the United States, more than 75,000 people each year undergo surgery which results in an ostomy, a surgically created opening in the body for the discharge of body wastes. The most common cause requiring ostomy surgery is cancer treatment.
The ostomy clinic, located on Chandler Regional’s campus in the Morrison Building at 1875 W. Frye Road, will be open Monday through Friday by appointment only to (480) 728.3836.
