As 2007 comes to a close and another year “On the Road” goes whizzing by, it’s a good time to reflect on your accomplishments and those you plan on achieving in 2008. It’s a good time to make changes for the better.

If you’re driving a gas guzzling older SUV or truck that no longer fits your needs, why not take some serious thought to trading them in for a new, more gas efficient, lighter, and cleaner model. Maybe you’ve even given thought to trading in a vehicle that just no longer “makes sense”. When was the last time you took your huge gas-guzzling SUV off-roading? Would a much more fuel-efficient 4 door sedan or small pickup fit your needs better?

It’s no secret that car dealerships have their very best deals this time of year. They all want to close their books for 2007 on a high note. Take some time this last weekend of the year to test drive a new 2008 Honda Accord. The Accord for ’08 has been redesigned. The new 2008 Accord is just a little larger than its predecessors. Just large enough, in fact, to be considered a full size car up from a midsize. Engineers at Honda now hope the new Accord for ’08 is in direct competition with the full size Toyota Avalon or midsize Toyota Camry. Certainly in terms of fit and finish, the Honda Accord bows to no one. This Honda Accord may be an inch wider and 3 inches longer than previous models but the interior is as flawless as Honda before it. The V-6 Honda has a cylinder cutoff feature that allows the engine to run more efficiently on 3 cylinders, 4 cylinders, or all 6 when necessary. This saves you precious costly fuel without sacrificing pick up. The optional 190 horsepower 4 cylinder gets the same fuel efficiency as the 177 horsepower base engine. The only difference is in cost. It’s a little cheaper to not have the variable valve-timing hardware giving you a price break.

Where can you test drive a new ’08 full size Honda Accord? If you’re near the southeast Valley drive to the all new state-of-the-art Santan Honda Superstore of Chandler. Located at 1150 S. Gilbert Road in Chandler, near the intersections of Gilbert Road and E. Queen Creek Road, Santan Honda Superstore of Chandler is your Phoenix, Mesa, and Gilbert local Honda dealer. Brand new from the ground up the professional sales staff at Santan Honda Superstore know your time is valuable. And at this busy time of the year they will make it their mission to have you test drive your new vehicle, give you a great price for your trade-in, and skip the hassles normally associated with new car purchases. Why not give them a call today at (480) 285-2800 or visit their dealership online at www.santanhondasuperstore.com?

In fact, no matter what model and make of car or truck is right for you, you will find the end of the year the very best time to be in the market to trade in your vehicle. Just to let you know, the great effort at Earnhardt-Toyota /Scion to raise funds to benefit Sunshine Acres and East Valley Child Crisis Center on December 15th was a big success! This time of year our East Valley neighbors are big contributors to worthwhile organizations such as these. Be sure to visit Earnhardt Toyota/Scion for some great end of year deals, also! Stop by 136 E. Autoloop Avenue in Mesa today or visit them online at www.earnhardttoyota.com!
