What’s on your wish list this holiday season? How ‘bout a career in rock-n-roll?

Two valley radio stations – 100.7 KSLX and 97.9 KUPD – each have current full-time positions in sales and marketing, according to job postings at YourAZJobs.com.

KSLX, the Valley’s leading classic rock format station, is currently on the lookout for a new sales and continuity coordinator to work full time out of Mesa, as an assistant on its advertising sales team. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite applications, and those with media/advertising experience a plus.

At Tempe-based KUPD, hard rock is the name of the game. It’s search for a full-time promotions coordinator “in the most active promotions department in the Valley,” according to a job posting at YourAZJobs.com, could allow those “with incredible potential to break into entry level management within the broadcast industry.” Applicants should have a valid Arizona drivers license and at least two years experience in radio or the event management industry.

In addition to these opportunities in the local broadcasting market, a number of regional hotels and resorts are still working to fill out their respective staffs.

In Gilbert, a brand-new Residence Inn by Marriott hotel is getting set to open in January. While Marriott is still accepting applications for any and all positions, it specifically is on the lookout for housekeeping and breakfast attendants.

At Hyatt, an intermediate line cook opportunity is still available in Phoenix, while Kentucky-based Commonwealth Hotels has for a full time director of sales in the Phoenix area, specifically for its aLoft hotel near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Commonwealth operates various properties nationwide under a number of well-known brands, including Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, aLoft, and more.

Other openings still available in the East Valley and vicinity include a number of customer assistant positions – both full- and part-time – at area Fresh & Easy stores. Such positions are available in Gilbert, Ahwatukee Foothills, Phoenix Biltmore area, and Avondale.
