Experts from CCCS

Southwest will assist attendees in developing a personal budget, increase understanding of the true cost of the holidays and aid in establishing financial goals and a plan for 2008. “Partnering with CCCS Southwest to offer Maricopa County residents solid budget advice compliments MWC’s efforts to improve the stability of the community. Our focus is mutual success for businesses and individuals. To succeed individuals need financial stability, particularly those seeking employment. ‘Holiday Survival Skills’ will provide the financial strategies to arm individuals to ‘stay ahead of the game,’ so to speak, in our tight economy.” said Patrick Burkhart, assistant director, Workforce Development Division, Maricopa County Human Services Department, the county department coordinating the offering of MWC services to the community. “MWC customers, members of our community, often ask for financial guidance; we are working collaboratively with CCCS Southwest to deliver what they need.

Bringing employers and employees, and the resources they each need under one roof exemplifies the true desire of the Human Services Department to lead and be fiscally responsible in the provision of necessary public services. Services provided by MWC are directed by a Workforce Investment Board; a policy and oversight board partnered with the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to deliver employment and training services to county residents.
