Central Arizona Project said it was recognized for its “H2O4U Water Education Scholarship Program” at the annual ASPRAtions Awards.
The awards are given to statewide school district programs for their contributions to local schools and districts. They are presented at the Arizona School Public Relations Association Annual Superintendents’ Awards Luncheon on Friday.
CAP’s interactive, Web-based program was developed to inform middle school students about conserving water.
Students who completed the game were entered to win a $1,000 college scholarship, and one winner in each county also received a Dell computer for his or her school.
CAP said it plans to offer the contest annually. For information, visit www.caph204u.com.
