Four Arizona companies, including Brenntag Pacific, Inc. of Chandler, have had environmental penalties waived by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency for voluntarily disclosing and correcting the violations.

The four cases combined to avoid $66,000 in penalties. Brenntag Pacific avoided a $6,400 fine.

Under the EPA's small-business compliance policy, the agency will eliminate or significantly reduce penalties for businesses with fewer than 100 employees that voluntarily discover violations and promptly disclose and correct them.
