There are many products out there designed to give your tires a rich, black look. Many, however, seem to last a matter of a couple of days, or even hours if it rains.
The Stoner company says that the reason is the surfactants (basically soaps) used in competing products that allow the tire dressing to be easily washed away when it rains. So, Stoner created More Shine tire dressing, which comes in a spray can (you can’t miss it on shelves since it has a big yellow cap).
One coat on a clean tire makes it look black, while a second helping provides a glossy shine. There’s no dripping liquid, no sponges and a no wiping needed. Stoner says that 15 seconds a tire is all you need for a shine that will last weeks and not days or hours.
More Shine is claimed to provide UV protection from the sun, it won’t “brown” the tires and it won’t harm the finish on your wheels.
Stoner has a surprising number of detailing products, from glass and carpet cleaners to a special product that restores the look of plastic cladding that becomes dull and chalky looking over time. Visit moreshine.com or call 1-800-227-5538.
