Thorobred Chevrolet and Coulter Motor Company are great Valley dealerships to visit for the vehicles that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) rates the least expensive to insure.
If your household is like many in the East Valley today you’re just beginning to collect the many credit card statements showing just how much you spent last month on the holidays! Well On The Road has done some research and we’ve come up with a couple of new vehicles that will save you money on one thing you can never get away from with any vehicle you own, your monthly car insurance.
Here are a couple of new cars that are rated the cheapest to insure as picked by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). These vehicles are ones that you definitely want to put on your list for a test drive!
The 2007 Cadillac CTS is rated the least expensive car to insure. Car insurance rates are frequently derived from the number of claims made on certain vehicles and certainly the CTS’s size and safety features are factors. The ’07 Cadillac CTS is considered by many as premium midsize car. Certainly the Cadillac legacy reigns over the top notch “fit and finish” of this, the smallest of the Cadillac line of sedans. Certainly ’07 CTS has one of the more edgy body styles of any Cadil- a 400 hp 6-speed manual transmission, standard. The CTS has plenty of power to pass a car along the busy Loop 101 at rush hour or to climb I-17 on your way to Sedona for a weekend at the cabin.
The CTS also comes standard with ABS brakes, front, side airbags, curtain side airbags, and OnStar assistance. Its size and safety features rate the vehicle the cheapest to insure of new sedans on the road. Certainly the CTS will give you power, comfort, safety and now a savings on your wallet each month in insurance premiums as well. Come look at the new CTS by Cadillac at The Coulter Motor Company, 7780 S.Autoplex Drive, in Tempe’s auto park near I-10 and Elliot Road.
Coulter Motor Company’s sales staff have one philosophy, to exceed your expectations from test drive to delivery. To accomplish this not-so-simple task Coulter hires and trains sales staff who are passionate about what they do. The 2007 Chevy Tahoe is the cheapest to insure, as rated by IIHS, for SUV’s. The Chevy Tahoe for 2007 has been called “the best SUV Chevrolet has ever built”. The Tahoe has been redesigned from the tires to the rooftop. Its clean sheet metal design gives little coefficient of drag. The lower the “CD” the higher the fuel efficiency rating as well as resulting in a quieter vehicle ride. The Tahoe’s new shape is 3 inches wider than its predecessor and about 2 inches longer. Ride height has been reduced on both 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive versions of the Tahoe to meet the highest safety standards.
Chevy has applied the “horizontal theme” to its Tahoe for 2007. Not only does this give the SUV good looks but seamless integration of the fascia into the fenders eliminates gaps that can cause high-speed turbulence. Even the instrument panel and dash have been redesigned 6 inches lower and more forward than the previous ’06 model. Fit and finish on the Tahoe are top rate and compete with any import out there. Add to this the safety features and size and it’s not too hard to see why the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety rates the ’07 Tahoe the cheapest SUV to insure. Something to consider in your day to expenses in the operation of any vehicle you own.
