A Chipotle Mexican Grill is open at 6602 E. Superstition Springs Blvd. in Mesa. The restaurant chain promotes a variety of socially conscious ideals by selling food that helps family farms, sustainable agriculture and the environment.

QUEEN CREEK

Brake Masters, a retail automotive services business, is planned for the Queen Creek Fiesta shopping center near the southwest corner of Rittenhouse and Ellsworth roads in Queen Creek.

Developers of 5,000-squarefoot shop are working their way through the town’s approval process.

A multitenant building with retail, office, warehouse and storage space is planned for the Business Park at Power Marketplace in Queen Creek.

The 16,000-square-foot, two-story building would be built near Power and Rittenhouse roads.

INTERIORS

Designs of the Interior, a home accessories, furniture and design services store, opened in the Grayhawk community in north Scottsdale.

The retailer, at Hayden Road and Thompson Peak Parkway, sells furniture, lighting, window treatments and rugs among other things.

ORGANIC BURGERS

The owner of Delux restaurant, 3146 E. Camelback Road in Phoenix, wants to open another restaurant at 4443 Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale.

The eatery has a number of beers on tap and serves organic food including hamburgers, panini and salads.

The new restaurant would be located in an existing building. A pre-application questionnaire filed with the city’s Planning and Development Services Department said the owner wants to remodel the interior and exterior of the building and add a shade trellis on the west and a balcony along the south end.

MOVIES

Harkins Theatres hosts the grand opening of its Chandler Crossroads 12-theater complex on May 18.

Crossroads 12 at Loop 202 and Gilbert Road will be the Scottsdale-based company’s second complex in Chandler. The company also owns Harkins Chandler Fashion 20 at 3159 W. Chandler Blvd. in late 2001. The theaters will feature so-called “high back, rocking love seats,” and “extra large wall-to-wall screens.”

The company is opening several other facilities throughout the Valley, including the Cine Capri at loops 101 and 202 in Tempe, and the Casa Grande 14 at Interstate 10 and Florence Avenue in Casa Grande.
