Yellowstone National Park is one of the top holiday getaway destinations for Arizona travelers, according to AAA Arizona.

Starting Nov. 16, local geyser lovers will be able to wing their way from Mesa to Billings, Mont., a short car hop from the national treasure.

Allegiant Air, Williams Gateway Airport’s new hub carrier, said today it plans to fly twice weekly round-trips -- on Mondays and Fridays -- between Mesa and Billings Logan International Airport.

Fares will start as low as $69 each way for tickets purchased by Sept. 29, and edge up to $89 after the introductory period, the carrier said.

Allegiant previously announced plans to fly from Williams Gateway to Fort Wayne, Ind., Fargo, N.D., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Chicago-Rockford and Peoria, Ill., Bellingham, Wash., Missoula, Mont., Stockton and Santa Maria, Calif., and Sioux Falls and Rapid City, S.D.

Passengers can make reservations for flights to any of the new Williams Gateway destinations at www.allegiantair.com or through the reservations center at (702) 505-8888.
