Youfit Health Clubs has targeted the Valley for expansion, including a soon-to-open second location in Gilbert, according to a news release.
The new Gilbert club at 870 E. Williams Field Road will be Youfit’s eighth location in the Valley.
Owner Rick Berks’ business model differs from other traditional health clubs in that there are no long-term contracts, body builders, singles scenes or pressure to join. "These are clubs where ‘you’ can ‘fit’ in, without feeling uncomfortable and without feeling pressure from salespeople," the release said.
And Youfit’s gyms are "green," with floors made of recycled tires or Nike recycled sneakers.
