Standard and Poor’s has reaffirmed Chandler’s water and sewer bond rating of AA+, citing the city’s strong financial performance. The rating service reviews and updates bond ratings every one to two years while evaluating the state of the city and the economy. Bonds rated Aaa or AAA are considered to be of the highest quality with the smallest degree of investment risk.
Chandler’s water and sewer revenue bonds are currently rated AA+ by Fitch Ratings and Aa1 by Moody’s Investor Services. The city has about $44.7 million of water and sewer bonds outstanding.
