Chapman Dodge of Scottsdale will soon carry the 2008 Dodge Challenger. This very popular muscle car is making a comeback after over 30 yrs being out of production. Only produced by Chrysler from 1970 to 1974 this muscle car quickly became one of the most popular cars on the race car circuit and by muscle car fans everywhere. With such a rich heritage to live up to, in creating the new Dodge Challenger for 2008, Chrysler design engineers knew they had to get this vehicle design just right.

Chapman Dodge, 66th St. and McDowell Road in south Scottsdale, has been a leader in Chrysler sales and service for years. Chapman features a full inventory of Dodge trucks, cars, and SUV’s. Part of the reason you buy a new vehicle from a certain dealership is the sales. You’re looking for a dealer with qualified, knowledgeable sales representatives that won’t waste your time or your money. At Chapman Dodge the professional sales reps are trained and supervised to give the very best deal possible for you and your trade. The professionals at Chapman want to earn your business and then want you to come back again for your next new or used vehicle. They know this takes trust and that takes work. The folks at Chapman roll up their sleeves and ready to work hard to earn your time.

After market is just as important as the initial sale. Chapman Dodge has a modern, state-of-the-art service center with qualified, certified technicians ready to help your vehicle get back on the road. Today the auto business is as competitive as never before. Take a look at Chapman for your next auto or truck purchase and see why so many of your neighbors already shop there. In fact, Chapman Dodge is the number one Dodge dealership in Arizona!

Designers at Chrysler had the enviable job of redesigning the new Challenger with 1970 muscle car attributes built with today’s road, gas mileage, and safety in mind. Still, they wanted to stay true to the muscle cars past by designing the vehicle lines to be pure, minimal, aggressive, signature lines. Mega-horesepower, an air grabbing front grill and bold colors would round out the design of the vehicle they know will soon become a collector’s item.

“The Challenger draws upon the initial 1970 model as the icon of the series,,” says Tom Tremont, Vice President, Advance Vehicle Design. “The 1970 model is the most sought after by collectors”. The muscle car will evoke much of the styling of its original predecessor with overhanging hood, tucked under wheels, and snug drivers seat complete with unique slapstick design. The car is everything to take the driver back to the era of aggressive muscle cars and Friday night football games. The ’08 Challenger is set on a 116 inch wheel base, 16 inches longer than the original car but the width of the vehicle is two inches greater. The signature “accent line” is higher up on the body running along the entire length of the fender and door and moving up just forward of the rear wheel.

To give the car a powerful stance it has been designed with 20 inch front and 21 inch rear wheels. Bumpers are smooth, seamless, and disappear into the design and color of the car. There is so much to the original that has been designed into the new, aggressive, and bold Dodge Challenger. You’ll have to blink twice to not think you are looking at a restored original Challenger, only slightly larger with more technology than was used in the first lunar landing back in the heyday of the muscle car era of the late 1960’s! Want to take a sneak peak at the new Dodge Challenger for 2008 or any of the other great Dodge cars and trucks available at Chapman Dodge?
