William J. Post, the retired chairman and CEO of Pinnacle West Corp. and former president and CEO of Arizona Public Service Co., has joined the board of directors for US Airways. Post, 60, will serve on the board's compensation and human resources committee and its labor committee.
Post is currently chairman of the board for Swift Transportation and is a director for First Solar and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. He also is on the boards of the Translational Genomics Research Institute and the Thunderbird School of International Management and is chairman of the board of trustees for ASU, from which he received a bachelor of science degree in 1973.
"We are extremely pleased to welcome Bill to US Airways," said US Airways chairman and CEO Doug Parker. "He is a seasoned corporate leader with extensive experience operating in a complex and highly regulated environment."
