I don't care whose fault it is, all I know is I paid $3.09 a couple of weeks ago, and $3.31 yesterday! Then I came home and heard Romney say if he were elected President we would no longer buy oil from the Arabs. Maybe he read that on some tablets?

EV, are you really this ignorant?
The price of crude has risen about $20/barrel since mid-June. Gas Prices are catching up.
Might have something to do with the Iran-Israel War we are headed for thanks to our brilliant foreign policy.
And the offshore drilling ban. And the pipeline we can't build from Canada.
But it is probably just Bush's fault.

Are the authorities going to get involved (price gouging is a crime), or are they going to ignore it again?
According to the NASDAQ, crude oil is still under $96 a barrel.
Meanwhile, in North Dakota, oil production has increased sixfold since 1996, making them second only to Texas...and the shale deposits are estimated to contain more oil than the entire Persian Gulf area.
So what's the reason (excuse) for the rise in prices?
