High school seniors and their parents can learn more about ways to pay for college and other post-secondary education opportunities during the Chandler Unified School District Financial Aid Night. The event will be held 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 16) at the Chandler Center for the Arts, 250 N. Arizona Ave. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Participants will learn about the various types of financial aid (grants, loans, work-study), how to apply for aid, common myths and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
Completing the FAFSA is the first step in applying for college financial aid. All U.S. colleges use the Student Aid Report (SAR) generated by the FAFSA to determine distribution of financial aid.
