Bank of America is looking to fill 500 full-time jobs at locations in Tempe, Gilbert and Phoenix, mainly to help expand its mortgage business.

The company will host a job fair from 1 to 7 p.m. today and Wednesday at 2299 W. Obispo Ave. in Gilbert.

The new jobs include managers, underwriters and various loan processing positions. All positions are full time and include benefits. Anyone interested should apply in person.

Most positions will support the company’s mortgage business, said Benito Almanza, Bank of America’s president in Arizona.

Bank of America plans to use its banking centers to improve customers’ access to mortgages and to help them find the right product, the company said.

While adding to its mortgage lending staff, the company is trying to cut down on paperwork, it said.

Bank of America has 4,225 banking centers nationwide, more than any other financial services company, in 21 states and the District of Columbia.

The company employs more than 100,000.
