Scottsdale Fashion Square is getting Arizona’s first Burberry’s store.

It’s scheduled to open in September in the mall’s Nordstrom wing, which also houses other statewide firsts such as Tiffany and Crate & Barrel stores.

Decades ago, if you spotted someone sporting a trench coat lined in Burberry’s signature red, tan, black and white plaid you knew the wearer bought it abroad.

Eventually, the venerable L ondon clothier started splashing the design on scarves, purses and other apparel and accessories, and selling it in upscale U.S. shops such as Saks Fifth Avenue.

Who needs a trench coat during the sizzling summer anyway?

Camille’s Collection settled into a new location at 15020 N. Hayden Road in Scottsdale. The new store is about twice the size and more visible from the road than the old location, which was just a stone’s throw away but tucked behind Fiesta Furnishings.

The store specializes in home and garden decor and accessories, custom trees, and silk and preserved plants and flowers.

A new shop for old stuff, Bugz Second Hand Store, opened at 2144 N. Arizona Ave. in Chandler. Owner Zenaida King sells clothing, furniture, and a potpourri of used-but-still-good goods.

Ask her about the strange store moniker.

Plato’s Closet, which buys and sells new and used teen clothing and accessories, plans to debut June 4 at Warner Plaza, southwest corner of Alma School and Warner roads in Chandler.

Fabulous Finds Consignment shop opened at 16477 N. 91st St. in the McDowell Mountain Business Park in Scottsdale.

Owner Karen Plantier sells high-end and mid-range furniture and home furnishings, no clothing.

Women’s shop Coldwater Creek plans to open its second Valley store May 27 at Dana Park, Val Vista Drive and Baseline Road on the Mesa-Gilbert border.

The first Arizona Coldwater Creek store is in Kierland Commons on the Scottsdale-Phoenix border.

A new health store, Vitamins 2U, snuck open at 14891 N. Northsight Blvd. in Scottsdale, but the grand opening hoopla is planned for June 5.

A new Zumiez opened at Paradise Valley Mall in northeast Phoenix.

P & G Nails is slated to open June 4 at the southeast corner of Southern Avenue and Greenfield Road in Mesa.
