Chandler City Hall was named one of the 2012 “top ten green projects” by the American Institute of Architects Committee on the Environment (COTE). The city hall was designed by SmithGroup JJR.

The COTE program celebrates structures that use a “thoroughly integrated approach to architecture, natural systems, and technology to provide architectural solutions that protect and enhance the environment.”

ASU Polytechnic Academic District, by RSP Architects and Lake Flato Architects, was also honored.
