Students from the University of Advancing Technology won more than $7,000 in scholarships and prizes at this year’s Avnet Tech Games, held April 9-10 at the school’s campus in Tempe. Challenges that tested innovative thinking and technology skills included programming, multimedia, data networks and more.
UAT students Noah Corradin, Adam Visser and Annie Winn and coach Al Kelly won a data network challenge, while John Faulkner, Jason Cater and David Kazlas and coach Shelley Keating found innovative solutions to power a green data center. UAT student Sylvia Arias took home a $1,000 scholarship for winning an Android app challenge.
