Chandler is the place to be in Arizona for startup businesses, according to American Express. The company’s OPEN Forum recently recognized Chandler as one of the leading U.S. cities for technology startups per capita. The city ranked fourth behind California’s Fremont and San Jose, as well as Irving, Texas.

“Startups are a critical piece of the city’s economic development strategy, as we recognize that many of our largest employers, including Intel, Microchip and Ebay, began as small startups, and grew to be the important economic drivers we know them as today,” the city stated in a press release.

Chandler is home to the Innovations Incubator, which is highlighted in the story. The Incubator provides a place for startup companies to conduct research and development. Chandler is also home to Gangplank, where small businesses startups can find space to operate.
