I'm a sucker for a film that shoots for infinity but barely scrapes into the atmosphere. I appreciate the effort and the willingness to do something a little different in order to bring a modicum of ingenuity and interest into a medium that thrives and lives on repetitiveness and creature comfort.

God is always there to help us weather the storm

I’ve seen it multiple times, but it never fails to amaze me just how fragile our lives, as well as all the stuff of our lives, really are. One of the summer storms bouncing around the Valley at this time of year brought wind and rain ripping through our church campus. It tore up trees and threw around the roof tiles like a 2 year old in full tantrum mode. The emotional impact of the scene of devastation, and the physical work also took its toll, even as we give thanks that no one was injured.

Weninger: Vote Hartke, Lopez and Roe

We need a strong council going forward that will continue to lead this great city. For that reason, I am supporting Kevin Hartke, Rene Lopez and Terry Roe. I have worked with Kevin as a fellow council member for the last four years, so I know his ability to do what is best for Chandler. I have worked closely with Terry and Rene on various city issues over the years and have full faith and confidence in their ability to lead Chandler forward. These individuals are ready to serve our community in a meaningful way. They are people of integrity and character and, therefore, have my unequivocal support.
