A major storm rolling through Friday caused a weather warning at Sky Harbor Airport, as well as closures and outages around the Valley.

The National Weather Service warning was in effect until 4:30 p.m. due to strong, gusty winds.

A spokesperson told ABC15 that Sky Harbor did not experience weather delays of more than 15 minutes.

The airport has received .68 inches of rain, which is a record for this day.

SRP said about 8,000 customers were without power across the Valley but did not have exact locations. They did not know when power would return.

The city of Goodyear said Indian School Road was shut down in both directions around 3 p.m. at Loop 303 due to storm damage. Repair work is underway.

As of 5:45 p.m., APS tweeted that less than 100 customers are affected by power outages Valley-wide.

Earlier around 2:30 p.m., APS reported that about 700 customers were without power at Cave Creek Road to Mountain View from 10th to 16th streets.

Track the storm on the ABC15 weather radar maps.
