The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for late Tuesday night for portions of south-central Arizona, including Maricopa County and the greater Phoenix area.
The freeze warning is in effect through early Wednesday morning.
Lows across the area overnight will range between 27 and 35 degrees.
The weather service says the cold will affect pets, exposed pipes and vulnerable and sensitive plants.
The freeze warning will continue Wednesday night and Thursday morning with lows from 22 to 29.
A freeze watch will be in effect Thursday night and Friday morning, with temperatures dipping to the low 20s to low 30s.
