A section of northbound Loop 101 will be closed in the Chandler and Tempe areas this weekend, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.
The closure will take place from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday between the Loop 202 Santan Freeway and U.S. 60. During this time, crews will be installing overhead signs and removing older light poles related to the car-pool lane construction project.
Northbound traffic will detour along the frontage road. ADOT also is suggesting as an alternative westbound route the Santan Freeway to westbound Interstate 10.
