Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Chief Deputy Jerry Sheridan, and staff members were on hand to answer questions posed by the Youngtown Town Council Thursday night at a meeting to decide the fate of the town's police department. At the heart of the issue is a finacial crisis that led the town council to contract services with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office in order to save money. The decision dissolved the small police department in the town. Thursday, December 1, 2011. (Dave Martinez/Daily News-Sun)
