A Peoria woman who went missing from her home last week has been found dead.

Jay Davies, spokesman for the Peoria Police Department, said Thursday that Dolores Hulda Lynch, 77, was found in her vehicle just off the road in a desert area in the San Tan Valley, near the 10100 block of East Open Sky Drive.

There are no signs of foul play, Davies said, and Lynch still had most of the cash she had withdrawn, less the money she used to purchase a meal.

She also had directions to an East Valley casino, which Davies said they believe was her destination.

Lynch was last seen leaving her home near 107th and Northern avenues at 10:30 p.m. June 8 and was reported missing over the weekend.

Lynch was diabetic and in the early stages of dementia, and leaving her home without first notifying family was not normal for her.
