U.S. Armed Forces, Glendale police honor employee

Along with the United States Armed Forces, the Glendale Police Department will play host at an awards and farewell reception formally recognizing and honoring John Engstrom at 2 p.m. July 25.

Having served more than 20 years as an Army Green Beret / Special Forces Sergeant, Engstrom will be presented the Combat Infantryman Badge and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal by Gen. Dave Morris, in recognition of his military combat service dating back to the 1980s.

The awards ceremony and farewell reception will take place in the lecture hall at the Glendale Regional Public Safety Training Facility at 11550 W. Glendale Ave.

The public is invited to join the department in honoring Engstrom's service.
