Dimitri Matheney Group will perform for the first time on the west side at tonight’s Serenade in Sun Village.
The show begins at 7 p.m., and tickets are $10. Sun Village Community Center is at 17300 N. Sun Village Parkway, three lights west of Grand Avenue, north of Bell Road.

This is a group of “swinging cats” features Matheny on flugelhorn. Matheny is a relative newcomer to the Valley, but not to the music scene.
Paul Anderson, KJZZ DJ and saxophonist will be on board, along with west side favorites Nick Manson on piano, Ted Sistrunk on bass and John Lewis on drums.
