Every four minutes, an animal enters the Arizona Humane Society’s doors.
Last year alone, AHS took in 121 animals on average each day totaling more than 44,000 animals for the year; an 11 percent increase from 2009. And AHS is on the same track for 2011, as intake numbers have increased by almost 2,000 for this year.
AHS is committed to seeing these numbers decrease and will continue to provide a service to the community through its high-quality, low-cost spay and neuter services.
In honor of National Spay Day, Feb. 22, AHS is giving away 121 free spay/neuter surgeries. Why 121? It only seems fitting as that number represents the amount of animals that come through AHS’ doors each day.
Enter to win a free spay or neuter at any of AHS' three clinics by completing the form at www.azhumane.org/spayday. On Feb. 23, 121 lucky winners will be randomly selected. Winners will be notified via e-mail Feb. 23.
