Originally used as an airplane hangar to train World War II pilots, the Thunderbird School of Global Management is taking down a 1941 building used as an activity center on its Glendale campus.
A memorial of a Stearman PT-17 plane sits outside the Thunderbird Activity Center in Glendale. The Thunderbird School of Global Management is demolishing the building because the wooden trusses holding up the roof have become a safety concern.
